Ulam NAWA- - NAWA

The objective of the Programme is to increase the internationalisation of Polish universities and research institutions. The Programme enables distinguished researchers who hold at least a doctoral degree to come to Poland for a period of 6 to 24 months. During their stay, they will strengthen the scientific potential of Polish higher education and research institutions and become involved in their scientific activities, in particular research projects and teaching.

Researchers from abroad may be invited regardless of their age, scientific discipline or country of origin, including Polish researchers permanently working abroad.

In this year’s call, applications are submitted by institutions.

Conditions and benefits:

• Duration of stay: 6 to 24 months;
• Employment at the host institution with remuneration of PLN 17,000 per month (including employer costs);
• Purpose of stay: to carry out research and participate in teaching activities.

Key dates

Application deadline: from 13 February to 15 May 2026 (by 3 PM) in our ICT system;

Commencement of residencies: from 1 February 2027.
