    The aim of the Welcome to Poland Programme is to support the internationalization of Polish higher education and research institutions and to strengthen their competitiveness in the global academic environment. This is achieved by enhancing the capacity of institutions to effectively receive and support individuals coming from abroad.

    The Programme supports activities such as:

    • developing the competencies of administrative, teaching, and research staff in working with international students, researchers, and other participants of international mobility programmes;
    • creating and improving institutional structures and offices responsible for international cooperation and the support of incoming students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and international staff;
    • ensuring professional and comprehensive support services for participants in international exchange, including individuals with special needs;
    • promoting beneficiary institutions internationally as attractive places to study, conduct research, and undertake teaching activities.

    The Welcome to Poland Programme is financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 (FERS) within the project “Support for higher education and research institutions in servicing foreign nationals and Poles going abroad” (project no. FERS.01.05.IP.08-0003/24).
