Countries from which Banach NAWA Programme laureates will come to Poland

Polish universities are attractive places for young people from around the world to acquire knowledge and develop their skills, and the results of the programme provide further confirmation of this.

    Banach NAWA

    Banach NAWA

The programme not only provides an opportunity to pursue higher education in Poland but also supports the development of long-term academic, social and intercultural relations.

The call was addressed to candidates from selected countries covered by Polish development cooperation – Polish Aid – who plan to begin their studies or a preparatory course in the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to the laureates’ preliminary declarations, the academic institutions expected to host programme scholarship holders include the University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University, the University of Wrocław, Warsaw University of Technology, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poznań University of Life Sciences and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

Admission to universities is conducted independently of the programme’s selection process. The laureates’ final places of study will therefore be confirmed after the university admission procedures have been completed.

    Polish Development Cooperation

The Banach NAWA Programme is a joint initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, implemented as part of Poland’s development cooperation.

Its objective is to support the socioeconomic development of developing countries by improving the knowledge and education of their citizens.

The programme enables participants to pursue second-cycle studies in Polish or English at Polish universities supervised by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Laureates will be able to sign scholarship agreements after meeting the requirements specified in the programme, including admission to a university. The scholarship includes an exemption from tuition fees at public universities and a monthly NAWA allowance of PLN 2,500.

Congratulations to all the laureates. We wish them every success in the admission process and throughout their studies in Poland.
