The "NAWA-EURAXESS Network" is a pilot funding programme for Polish higher education and research institutions.
The program aims to create regional collaboration networks between universities, research institutions and other organisations supporting foreigners in each Polish region (called voivodeship). The goal of these partnerships is to foster attractive environment for doctoral candidates, scientists and their families coming to Poland, strengthening long-term cooperation among the partners.
The funded projects should also result in an increased number of Polish institutions joining the European EURAXESS network, as well as boosting visibility of European initiatives supporting research careers (such as the HR strategy and EURAXESS resources).
Program Implementation
In two calls for proposals in 2024 and 2025, a total of 15 projects were selected for funding – one per voivodeship. These projects are carried out by universities, Polish Academy of Sciences institutes, and research institutes, mostly in partnership.

The projects run for 36 and 32 months (depending on the call) and will end operating by December 31, 2028.
Budget
The total budget of PLN 10 million was distributed among 15 voivodeships, based on the number of research institutions active in each region. Thus, the budget and the number of partner institutions varies between voivodeships.
The "NAWA-EURAXESS Network" program is financed by the European Union from the European Fund for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS) as part of the project entitled: "Support for higher education and science institutions in serving foreigners and Poles traveling abroad", no. FERS.01.05.IP.08-0003/24.
