The PROM Programme – a short-term academic exchange initiative – enables students and university staff to gain knowledge and skills in an international environment, which they can apply at various stages of their professional development. It also supports Polish universities and research institutions in establishing and strengthening cooperation with foreign partners.

The programme builds on the success of two previous editions funded under the POWER scheme. A new feature is the possibility of awarding scholarships to students in first-cycle, second-cycle, and long-cycle Master’s programmes.

PROM provides funding for short-term mobilities aimed at enhancing the competencies of students, doctoral candidates, and academic staff, including:

    • active participation in an international conference (presentation, including poster sessions),
    • collecting materials for a doctoral dissertation or scientific article,
    • participation in summer or winter schools,
    • conducting measurements using unique equipment, testing research apparatus, or working with specialised artistic instruments,
    • participation in short learning formats such as courses (including intensive courses that count toward the study process), workshops, professional or industrial internships, and study visits, including those carried out at enterprises,
    • conducting archival or library queries,
    • teaching classes,
    • participation in the preparation of an international grant application.

Scholarship-based outgoing and incoming mobilities will last from 5 to 30 days. All activities may be carried out on-site, remotely, or in a blended format.

The PROM Programme – short-term academic exchange – is financed by the European Union under the project titled “Short-term academic exchange as a way to improve the quality of education in higher education and research institutions”, project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0218/23 (FERS Projects).
