Within the UniWeliS program and with funding from the EU Erasmus+ programme, NAWA, and other project partners, have developed and published a training manual for higher education managers and support staff.
It is intended to assist higher education institutions in Central, Eastern, and South-Eastern Europe with implementing measures for better integration of foreign doctoral students and academics and managing internationalisation more efficiently. The programme comprises six training modules that concentrate on essential areas identified during comprehensive interviews with university managers and administrative personnel within the targeted region regarding their most preferable training requirements. It aims to develop the skills required to manage and support the medium- and long-term mobility of international doctoral students and academics. This programme enables academic unit managers to comprehend the challenges in this field and suggest strategic actions, while administrative staff can enhance the skills required to implement these actions. In this manner, highereducation institutions will be capable of crafting environments that are more favourable to worldwide PhD students and scholars.
