The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has launched a new scholarship programme, “Future Network Weimar Triangle: Science for Europe”, addressed to doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers. The programme offers opportunities for research stays in Germany and supports the development of scientific cooperation within the Weimar Triangle framework.
The programme is open to early-career researchers from all academic disciplines whose work addresses key future challenges. Priority areas include, among others:
- • technologies supporting climate neutrality, energy transition, and sustainable mobility,
• artificial intelligence, digitalisation, and microelectronics,
• European security and the resilience of science systems,
• biotechnology and the medicine of the future,
• the social impact of emerging technologies.
As part of the programme, participants will have the opportunity to carry out a research stay at a selected research institution in Germany and join interdisciplinary working groups dedicated to collaborative research activities and building long-term scientific relations between Poland, France, and Germany.
The programme aims to strengthen trilateral scientific cooperation within the Weimar Triangle by initiating joint research projects, expanding networks among young researchers, and creating a space for developing solutions to European and global challenges.
The application deadline is 15 June 2026.
Detailed information on the programme, application procedures, and funding conditions is available on the “Future Network Weimar Triangle: Science for Europe” programme website: Future Network Weimar Triangle: Science for Europe
The programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
