GENERAL QUESTIONS
1. . Where can I find more information about internships and studying?

If you have already chosen a university, you can get more information from the foreign cooperation office of that university.
2. Can I receive the scholarship if I work/study remotely from my country?
No, the scholarship is only paid to the Beneficiaries residing in Poland.
PREPARATORY COURSE
3. What is a preparatory course?
This is an intensive Polish language course for those wishing to pursue an education in Poland. It’s a course for learning the language, about Poland and the country's culture.
It lasts 9 months.
4. When can I take a preparatory course?
If you are planning a longer cycle of education - a full bachelor's, master's or doctoral school.
Not for partial studies and research internships.
5. Can I choose a preparatory course center?
No, course candidates are assigned to centers related to their intended field of study.
The center is selected by NAWA (only centers with which NAWA has a contract are available).
APPLICATION PROCESS
6. What language do I submit my application in?
The application form should be completed in English, the application attachments in English, the diploma can be in Latin.
7. Will I be able to make a correction after submitting my application in the system?
YES, in case the application will be incomplete and will be sent for correction (one correction is permitted).
8. How much time do I have to correct the application?
14 calendar days counted from the sending of the notice of correction of the application.
9. What is the deadline for sending the application?
The deadline is fixed by the Sending Institution. Please ask directly your Agency, Institute or Ministry.
10. Do I have to present NAWA with confirmation from the university that I got into the university?
YES, after positive verification and after getting into the university, please attach in the system in the Documents section, the confirmation of admission to studies.
SCHOLARSHIP
11. When will the scholarship be paid?
The NAWA scholarship will be paid after the contract is signed in the NAWA system.
In 2025 NAWA pays scholarschip for candidates from: Croatia, France, Greece, Japan, Kazakhstan (doctoral schools only), North Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Thailand, Taiwan, Tunisia, Hungary (research stays of less than 5 months)
The scholarship is paid directly by the host university/institution.*
*Scholarship of the sending country - it depends on decision of the country.
12. What do I need to do to get a NAWA scholarship?
You should contact with The International Cooperation Office at the university to get information - what types of documents should be submitted to receive a NAWA scholarship.
REPORTING/ CHANGES
13. Do I have to do anything after my stay is over?
You should submit a final report to the NAWA system within 30 days after your stay. The report is available under Documents section, create +New Document, choose Final Report.
If the stay/study is longer than one year, than you should submit a partial report in system.
14. How to notify any changes in research stay/studies?
